Q: How long does the course last?

A: The transition course is 56 hours of ground school and generally lasts 7 days. The recurrent course is 16 hours of ground school over 2 days. The flight training portion is to proficiency and ranges from 6-10 hours of flight time for the transition.

Q: Do you have examiners on staff?

A: Yes, but the type rating must be conducted in the Dallas FSDO, or can — with prior permission — be conducted in the client's FSDO. The recurrent checks can be conducted in any FSDO.
